Job Description

A fixed term contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join a growing internal reporting team within a leading organisation. This role will work closely with the Group Management Accountant, providing essential support to ensure timely and accurate internal reporting, along with driving continuous improvement across the team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Group Management Accountant to deliver key outcomes for the Internal Reporting team and continuously improve team performance, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure that robust processes and controls are implemented and documented, proactively identifying and suggesting areas for improvement.
  • Act as a key liaison with stakeholders across the business, aligning objectives and promoting a collaborative approach.
  • Prepare and support the internal reporting requirements, working closely with team members and external collaborators across the Group.
  • Ensure adherence to reporting timetables, delivering high-quality work within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain control over individual and team outputs, ensuring adherence to processes and offering support in the implementation and review of appropriate controls.
  • Foster a mindset of continuous improvement, driving progress in line with finance and Group objectives through enhancements in people, processes, knowledge, systems, and the control environment.
  • Provide clear, concise commentary on monthly reporting, offering valuable context to the presented data for use in Group-level reports.
  • Support the External Reporting team with statutory reporting obligations, ensuring seamless collaboration.

Essential Experience and Knowledge:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Strong understanding and experience with IFRS and the internal reporting requirements of a UK-listed entity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify issues within reporting and processes.
  • A collaborative approach, able to foster strong relationships between finance and the wider business.
  • A strong desire to be part of a high-performing team that supports the Groups growth and aspirations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex issues to a wide range of stakeholders with professionalism.
  • Proven experience in managing a varied workload, including prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
