Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Rainham Steel Co Ltd, Essex, RM13 9PF

Salary: £45,000 - £49,000 per annum depending on experience

Job type: Full Time

As a result of ongoing growth and expansion, Rainham Steel a leading UK steel stockholder requires an experienced mechanical engineer to work at our Rainham, Essex depot. The role:

• Reporting to the operations manager
• Hydraulic system installation, diagnosis and repair
• Electrical system installation, diagnosis and repair
• Welding (Mig,Arc), cutting and fabrication skills
• Fault finding and rectification
• Periodic service and maintenance
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions
• Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary
• Basic working hours 8am - 5.30pm, 42.5 hour Per week

The Candidate:

• Proven experience in maintenance within a production environment
• Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
• Able to work in a fast-paced pressurised environment
• You must have a good command of the English language
• Must be a good time keeper.
