We are looking for a SysOps Engineer to be responsible for operating and monitoring applications and the cloud-based infrastructure they depend on. You will also be responsible for provisioning infrastructure, managing access rights, credentials and troubleshooting issues.

You will be accountable for:

  • Investigating and resolving complex infrastructure related issues within multi-server services and high-availability environments
  • Provisioning and configuring infrastructure as mandated by the infrastructure manager
  • Patching and maintaining existing infrastructure
  • Managing the full lifecycle of user credentials
  • Monitoring applications, infrastructure and providing support during releases
  • Working closely with the development teams on third line support issues

To be successful in this role you will require the following…

  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
  • experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL at foundation level
  • Previous experience of providing customer support
  • Knowledge of a trouble ticket system such as ServiceNow
  • Experience with configuration management tools and infrastructure as code (we use a mixture of Ansible and CloudFormation)
  • Previous experience administering Windows and Linux environments in a
  • production environment
  • Experience with application containerisation platforms and registry e.g.
  • Docker & ECR
  • Experience with AWS is essential
  • Network skills to support Security Group management, VPN and Direct
  • Connect configuration.
  • A background in at least one of the following scripting languages (Bash,
  • Python, Go) is considered a plus
