System Performance Engineer

Job Role: Performance System Engineer

Contract: 12 months

Inside IR35

Peterborough (Hybrid) Minimum of 3 days onsite

Performance Systems Integration Engineer. Technical expertise of internal combustion engines, performance simulation tools and control systems. Minimum 4+ years relevant experience. Control/simulation background.

0D/1D simulation tools to design and optimise systems – must have experience of this and Simulink, GT Power or Ricardo wave

• The Performance Systems Integration (PSI) team are responsible for end-to-end definition of the performance system: Requirements - System architecture, calibration requirements and control system definition
• Detailed technical trade-offs and control system development, through use of simulation and analytical tools
• Demonstrate product quality, emissions conformance, and product signoff

Technical Excellence

Level Working Knowledge:

• Experience of some or all of the following:Engine and / or Aftertreatment performance development
• Engine/powertrain Control Systems
• 0D/1D simulation tools to design and optimize systems
• Matlab / Simulink
• Provides effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges via sound technical competence
• Drive system level trade-offs and make technical recommendations to drive business decisions (ideally using simulation tools & processes)
• Knowledge of control system development and optimisation through simulation and data analysis
