To be considered for theFork Lift Driverrole all candidates must be flexible within reason, dependable, and available for an immediate start where required. Candidates must have a basic to satisfactory level of English speaking, reading, and writing.

As aFork Lift Driver, you must be flexible in your assignment as roles may vary from time to time which would include mixing products, packing, picking, dispatch, boxing, and palletising. A certain level of dexterity is required and will be assessed where needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client who is a growing company with many opportunities in a purpose-built site based in Alwalton Hill, Peterborough.

Shifts available 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00-06:00fixed shift pattern, work may include occasional weekend availability.

Salary Breakdown:

• Monday to Friday- 6am 2pm base rate £12.19 per hour, over 37.5 hours £18.29 per hour
• Monday to Friday- 2pm 10pm base rate £13.19 per hour, over 37.5 hours £18.29 per hour
• Sunday - Thursday- 10pm 6am base rate £14.19 per hour, over 37.5 hours £18.29 per hour

Day to day role:(A role best matched to your skill set would be identified. There may be an opportunity to move around different departments once you are trained.)

• Loading / Unloading loading / unloading - responsible for loading and unloading materials, products, and merchandise onto and off trucks, trailers, racks, shelves, and vehicles.
• Goods In / Goods out- responsible for the location, allocation, movement of all parts and products to fulfil all internal and external customer orders and outgoing shipments.
• Dispatch- arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels and placing / expediting orders.
• Quality checking / Returns maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment to various testing standards and comparing finished products to original patents.
• Picking using a hand scanner you will pick single orders as well as wholesale orders ready to be packed and sent out to the customer.
• Packing packing orders in line with packing procedures.
• Use internal software where required.
• General upkeep of your area
• Be actively aware and understand Health and Safety
• Working towards daily productivity targets
• Meeting all KPIs in place

Expected working environment:

• Standard warehouse environment
• Safety boots & Hi Vis Vest are required to be worn.
• All other PPE required will be provided as required.

Required skills / Experience:

• Reach Truck D2 accredited License (9 meters & above) If you have a standard Reach License this may also be upskilled to a D2 inhouse.
• If your license has expired and iseither RTITB, ITSSAR this could be assessed onsite providing you can present your card / paper certificate
• Standing or walking for prolonged periods (8-hour shifts)
• Lifting, bending, reaching above the head, crouching and/or stretching
• Pushing and pulling 15kg in weight / Lifting and moving products 15kg
• Manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
• Basic computer literacy (preferred but not essential)
• Time management
• Experience working in a busy warehouse environment (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Accuracy and diligence
