Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

Aerospace Engineer with experience of using the MBSE/MBD principles for modelling all activities throughout the entire product development lifecycle process. The objective being the creation of a Digital Thread in the process for a Fast Jet Fuel System for modelling all activities throughout the entire product development lifecycle processes.

Requirements creation and management.

Create and manage the Fuel System Requirements in Teamcenter, and using the HCL connector export requirements from Teamcenter to Cameo.

Creation of process for design artefact deliverables in the System Validation/Verification process in Cameo Requirements Modeller such as: Requirements Creation, Interface Control Documents (ICD), Engineering Design Requirements (EDR), Functional Requirements Documents (FDR), Qualification Program Plans (QPP),

Teamcenter (PLM), System Schematic Diagrams, Preliminary Functional Hazard Analysis (PFHA), Model Management Plan (MMP).

Update Teamcenter with feedback via the HCL connector from Cameo requirements modelling.

Model Based Design (MBD)

Managing/Review/approve - 1D analysis/simulations carried out on the system using Requirements and the Schematic diagram artefact created in Cameo during the MBSE process.

Drawdown data from Teamcenter to 1D Tools (AmeSim and Matlab Simulink) to model Fuel System performance. Draw down Functional and Non-functional requirements and consumption of decomposed/derived requirements from Teamcenter.

Feedback analysis/simulation results created using AmeSim and Matlab Simulink via FMU back to Teamcenter.

Carrying out hand-calculations to validate System performance through analysis/simulations results carried out

Managing/Review/Approve - 3D Modelling MBD process using NX Cad, ensuring the flow down of decomposed and derived requirements from the MBSE process, and the output from Simulation Analysis in the form of an updated EDR. The requirements will be drawn down from Teamcenter and once 3D modelling is completed the mission dels/data will be pushed back to Teamcenter where they will be configuration managed.
