Job Description

Integral are looking for a general maintenance engineer to join our engineering term at Liverpool University.. We are looking for an individual, with a broad understanding of building services and experience, with a calm manner that engenders a sense of trust with the clients and the rest of the site team. Specific experience at a day-to-day operational level to suit the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to fault find and rectify.
  • To support the contract management & admin team through the operations office, dealing with day to day engineering & other contract issues
  • Deal with and resolve problematic persistent recalls.
  • Undertake quality control checks on both reactive & PPM tasks
  • An ability to communicate with others effectively; this will include clients and end users.
  • To have a flexible approach to working times so as to suit the client & business requirements.
  • Respond to emergency situations in both normal & OOH working times
  • Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice
  • Other duties as requested by the Contract Delivery Manager to ensure smooth running of the contracts within the region.
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the relevant manager.
  • Duties will include carrying out various non- specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
  • To close / update completed PPM tasks on the CAFM system.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required, and requested by management.
  • Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
  • Complete any other associated task requested by the management and as dictated within the operational scope of PFI/LIFT contracts.
  • This job description sets out the main duties of the post. Such duties may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or the level of responsibility entailed.

Previous Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the Building Services Sector
  • Current Full UK driving licence
  • A good awareness of Health & Safety working practices
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Work to tight deadlines/targets.
  • Be committed to continuing professional development.
