Development Lead/Development Manager - NEW - Brand New Opportunity.

Salary: £65,000 - £100,000 + 10% Bonus Scheme.

Location: Home-Working / Manchester Office.

We are currently working with an extremely successful telecoms company based in Manchester. There is a position available to build a brand new Development Team within the company. They are looking for someone to come in and initially integrate their skill set into the company before taking a step back and overseeing their team.

What will you be doing?

- Work closely with Solution Architects and Domain Experts in determining the technologies, toolsets and frameworks that will be used across the squads with the aim of maximising the efficiency and productivity.

- Expected to be hands-on taking on some of the development responsibilities of a squad lead. As the squads grow over time you will become responsible for several cross functional squads

- You will be expected to put in places practices and procedures and select toolsets that enable end to end Agile product development and a DevOps model.

- You will be expected to manage relationships with, and delivery from, 3rd party consultancies that will augment the team with specialist expertise.

About you...

- A proven track record in building and running development and operations teams (ideally cross functional DevOps teams).

- Experience of managing delivery teams across 3rd party suppliers.

- A strong software development background, ideally Java/Node.JS/Angular

- Experience of Agile product development.

- Practical experience of the application of Continuous Improvement in a Learning Organisation.

- Experience of developing UX focused applications.
