RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Drafter/Modeler must possess advanced expertise in AutoCAD. The primary responsibility of this role is to create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for the project, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards. While proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, familiarity with Revit is highly desirable. Experience in drafting for architectural, engineering, or construction projects and demonstrate strong collaboration skills to work effectively with both design and engineering teams.


Main duties will include:

  • Develop precise 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD.
  • Create and modify detailed construction drawings, layouts, and schematics according to design specifications.
  • If applicable, utilize Revit to review and understand BIM models, with the potential to make minor adjustments.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret project requirements and develop comprehensive plans.
  • Ensure consistency in design and compliance with project standards by working closely with team members.
  • Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of drafting standards and procedures.
  • Maintain organized records of all drawings and models, ensuring that revisions are properly tracked and documented.


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Associate degree or certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and modelling, with a focus on using AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D drafting and modeling) is required.
  • Familiarity with Revit is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of UK industry standards and best practices for architectural, engineering, or construction drafting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Capable of managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working on construction sites, with a preference for healthcare projects.
  • Be able to design and interpret the designs and technical demands of others.


DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Knowledge of ISO19650 and use of CDEs in construction projects.
  • Knowledge of additional CAD software or BIM tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Experience working in a BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of BIM360/ Autodesk Construction Cloud platform (ACC).
