Job title Project Security Controller

Location: Crawley (hybrid with 3 days in the office)

Do you have experience of working within the defence sector or a government agency, and have experience of creating and maintaining project security management plans? Key responsibilities:

• Providing the authoritative guidance to project teams on Security Grading Guides (SGGs), Security Aspects Letters (SALs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
• Work with the project team to identify any potential Business Critical Information Assets (BCIA)
• Ensure security risks register is created and maintained and coordinate these risks on behalf of the project
• Creation and maintenance of Project Security Management Plans.
• Act as the point of contact within the project and liaison between the Local Security Contact (LSC) and Corporate Security Office (CSO).

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience working in the defence sector (military) or for a government agency, in a role where you’ve created and maintained project security management plans
• An aptitude for learning is key, as detailed training will be provided.

Security Clearance statement

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
