The Company – Lab Technician

Linkster are currently recruiting on behalf of a client, an esteemed company in the FMCG sector located in Foston Dove Valley Park (DE65). They are seeking to fill a Lab Technician position on a fixed-term basis until February 2025, with the possibility of a transition to a full-time, permanent role based on performance evaluations conducted in February 2025.

Job Specification - Lab Technician

• Testing and analysing products to meet customer and industry standards.
• Controlling packaging adherence to specifications.
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and performing calibration audits.
• Conducting sensory analyses on finished products.
• Placing non-conforming products on hold as needed.
• Conducting environmental and effluent analysis.
• Upholding impeccable hygiene standards across all production areas.
• Collecting microbiological samples and preparing them in our on-site laboratory.

The ideal candidate

The successful applicant will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or beverage laboratory sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills, the capability to work autonomously, and a keen attention to detail.

• Competitive salary package totalling £32,396.39 (comprising a basic salary of £27,378 p/a and a shift allowance of £5,018.39).
• Rotating shift pattern from Monday to Friday (0600-1400 / 1400-2200 / 2200-0600).
