Job Description
Summary
Rechtien International Trucks is seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at our Riviera Beach dealership. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to truck body repair and restoration. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in welding, painting, sheet metal work, and mechanical knowledge.
Essential Duties
• Perform body repairs, including welding, sheet metal work, and auto painting.
• Conduct mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Assemble and disassemble vehicles as needed.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete tasks.
• Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
• Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
• Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
• Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Experience:
• Proven experience in auto body repair and restoration
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and sheet metal work
• Proficiency in auto painting and detailing
• Mechanical knowledge to perform repairs and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with assembling and disassembling trucks
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills
