What You Will Do:

The Manager of Sales Planning, LUXE AMAZON will be tasked with instilling a data-driven approach to sales planning and forecasting across our portfolio of brands on Amazon as we create the strategy to best reach our consumer and meet their needs.This individual will be the key owner of the sales planning, forecasting and inventory management across multiple LUXE brands on Amazon.com

Job Duties and Accountabilities
  • Manage an end-to-end sales forecast process across our portfolio of LUXE brands, incorporating key metrics including customer sessions and overall net sales, to inform financial and inventory decisions inclusive of product mix, AUR, Sell-thru, media, and Markdown vs. Reg Selling (core vs. promo vs. launch)
  • Collaborate with the demand planning organization to align on proper forecasting
  • Coordinate inventory management with the Amazon supply planning team
  • Establish and manage a process to properly forecast cancellations, refunds and returns for our brands.
  • Collaborate with other business partners, including but not limited to finance, supply chain and the individual planning teams, to ensure that forecasts are consistent across all teams and channels.
  • Using historical data and partnering with the Amazon team, identify essential insights around product, promotional performance, and inventory that can be scaled across brands to optimize long-term and short-term promotional plans and strategies.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the luxury beauty consumer

This individual is creative and analytical.This person will work closely with a broad cross functional team to develop strong plans that meet financial commitments.

The individual must possess the ability to pivot quickly as this function is in constant evolution and the landscape is changing by the minute.This person must embody the L'Oral values of 'test and learn' and 'fail fast' to learn the dynamics of what makes the Amazon business unique.

This individual is excited to dig into the data and identify learnings and insights that will help the greater division and its brands identify risks and opportunities while developing strong cross functional relationships.

This individual has strong time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, often-changing environment. This individual is also a proactive problem-solver, with the ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:
  • College Degree
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a role focusing on sales planning, forecasting or a similar function; experience with direct-to-consumer businesses is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and skill with Microsoft Excel necessary; knowledge of other MS Office tools a plus
  • Expert knowledge and skill with data, data management, data activation and statistics, particularly as it relates to eCommerce and consumer analytics; experience with Amazon is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and skill with creating projections & detailed forecasts
  • Ability to lead presentations and effectively analyze and translate data into actionable business plans
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to prioritize initiatives and anticipate business needs
  • Strong Project management background to manage the everchanging digital retail landscape and to build a standard best practice across our luxury brands
  • Ability to build effective partnerships and interact successfully with diverse individuals at all levels
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights and optimizations
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovatively, and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills
  • Proven ability to influence others
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
