Qualifications and Details about the Position

Summary:

A Carpenter fabricates forms and structures from blueprints using wood or other materials.

Responsibilities:

• Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects,
• and building code recommendations.
• Lay out, fabrication and verification of form work from blueprints.
• Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work
• Mentoring and teaching apprentices the carpenter trade
• Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and
• procedures
• Regularly reporting project status to supervisor.

Skills and Capabilities:

• Basic construction math
• Operate construction tools safely
• Be able to read tape measure and blueprints
• Fabricate to design of blueprints by others

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting 40 LBS
• Must be able to work overtime hours and all shift schedules that may require up to 12-hours per day/ 7-days per

week for extended durations

• Standing long hours
• Repetitive bending, squatting, and liftin
