Professional Plumber

G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We provide facility and preventative maintenance services to aviation, government, and commercial facilities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add a licensed professional plumber to our dynamic Newark, New Jersey team.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures
• Fitting and repairing various appliances
• Cutting, welding, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
• Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems
• Preparing cost/material estimates
• Availability to respond to emergency calls
• Interact with other trades

Requirements

• New Jersey State Plumbing license
• Four (4) years of relevant work experience
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• A solid understanding of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding pipe layouts
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
• Stay informed about industry safety standards and practices
• Knowledge of local plumbing codes
• Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria

Physical Requirements

• Relatively flexible for working underground or in tricky spaces
• Precise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted

Shift: To Be Determined: (Morning, Midday and Evening)
