Job Description

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Oxford

Salary: Up to £85,000 + Package


We are working with a leading residential contractor seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a large-scale residential development north of Oxford. This is a great opportunity to work on a significant project consisting of around 300 traditional build houses and apartments, with excellent prospects for career progression.


Role Overview:

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take charge of cost management, procurement, and contracts for this major residential project. You’ll work closely with project teams and manage all financial aspects, ensuring successful delivery within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Lead procurement, negotiations, and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare valuations, monitor payments, and ensure accurate cost reporting.
  • Provide guidance on cost efficiency and risk management.
  • Support and mentor junior surveyors.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector.
  • Proven track record in managing new build projects.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
