Loan Operations (Front Office SME) - Credit Hedge Fund - Six-figure comp package – WFH flexibility

A leading, multi-billion dollar AUM fixed income / credit hedge fund, are looking to make a newly created hire to support its rapidly expanding European loans business.

The new hire will take full ownership for all European loan closing / loan operations tasks for the firm’s London office. As the loans SME, the hire will be the go-to-person for the investment team + a range of external suppliers / counterparties that you face off to. The core focus is on distressed credit - the hire will work very closely to the team of investment analysts, to fully understand the assets / be involved in the investment process from front to back (completion / execution).

During downtime, the hire will be cross-trained on the wider operations remit – this covers all other traded fixed income / credit asset classes + he/she will take on key project work, typically focused on process improvement (either running projects yourself, or working with the in-house tech team as project manager), however as loans SME, the hire should also expect to regularly take on ad-hoc project work from the investment desk.

Candidates must be experienced in loan operations, with experience in distressed credit. We are open to candidates from banks, trustees, administrators or other funds. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and a personality that suits working in a pressurized front office environment.

The role is paying an £80-90k base salary (potential flexibility) and a bonus that can make up a large % of base pending strong fund & individual performance. The hire will have the option to WFH 2 days per week.
