Senior Financial Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group are seeking a technically capable and qualified accountant to join their manufacturing client as a Senior Financial Accountant. With progression to Manager level over the next 12 months due to investment in new projects, there's a genuine opportunity to build a career up to FD level. This role is on site with some flexibility once embedded, with a salary of up to £65,000 on offer.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you'll have opportunity to make a difference from day 1 within an established team. Change is welcome and they want to drive improvements for the global Group from this site, so any experience in implementing new processes and using your initiative will be a big win!

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial and Corporate Reporting
• Long-term Accounting and Budgeting/Forecasting
• Statutory Accounts and Tax Compliance
• Operational Accounting and Cost Analysis
• Management Accounting and Business Partnering (Contracts, Programme Management, Operations, Engineering)
• Financial Results Reporting and Presentations
• Collaboration with the Group Finance Team (USA)
• Support for the ongoing implementation of SAP S/4HANA
• Development of Financial Reporting Schedules and Internal Controls
• Engagement with Internal and External Auditors
• Mentorship of 3 Trainee Accountants
• Acting as a delegate for the Reporting Manager and Finance Director

This is a truly unique role designed to give the incumbent broad exposure across multiple business areas and the tools to progress into more senior finance positions. You will have the opportunity to identify and implement improvements both within the finance function and across the wider organisation to support ongoing growth plans.
