Job Description

Mite Telecoms are looking for a Senior Acquisition Surveyor, preferably with experience of the New Site Acquisition or SRN projects, to work within a larger team lead by a Project Manager. You will deliver sites through the acquisition process to handover to construction. Code experience or new greenfield site acquisition for this particular role is a must.


What are the key responsibilities of the role?

You will apply a well rounded knowledge of property law and land valuation relevant to leases and licences, the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, the Electronic Communications Code 2017 and/or knowledge of the planning system, GPDO and national planning guidance documents.

Confidently be able to review and summarise key content from Lease and Licence documents.

Undertake desktop acquisition and planning research for input into site search appraisals

Confidently be able to negotiate terms, acquire heads of terms, and agree rights including where applicable the necessary wayleave and easements with site owners and their agents in accordance with The Code.


What does our ideal candidate look like?

  • Ideally with 8 years plus acquisition experience, preferably in telecoms with a good working knowledge and understanding of either or both acquisition & planning.
  • Preferable but not essential to have an RICS accredited degree and/or aspire to work towards becoming a chartered acquisition surveyor.
  • Flexibility to travel, preferably with a full UK driving licence and no more than 6 points.
  • Digitally literate and competent user of Microsoft 365 products e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word
