Job Title: Tug / HGV 1 Driver
Location: Southampton Port
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Zero Hours Contract
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour (Day Shifts) / £15.00 per hour (Night Shifts)

About the Role:

We are hiring Tug Drivers for cargo handling operations at Southampton Port. This role offers flexible hours, working with a team to ensure the safe and timely movement of freight. Ideal for those with a passion for logistics and a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate tug vehicles to transport cargo around the port.
  • Ensure safe and efficient movement of freight.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Report safety concerns or issues to supervisors.

Shift Pattern and Working Hours:

  • Up to 12-hour shifts; both day (starting at 06:00) and night shifts (starting at 18:00) available.
  • Flexible hours, including weekends, based on vessel traffic.

Requirements:

  • Full UK HGV Class 1 Driving Licence.
  • Valid Southampton ID Port Card.
  • Experience in HGV (Class 1) driving (1 year required).
  • Tug driving experience preferred.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and flexible to work various shifts.
