A Software Engineer with a physics background is required for a Climate Tech start up who have raised significant funding and are looking to expand their team. In this very rewarding role the successful Software Engineer will work on very complex technical challenges and have a lot of autonomy to grow and shape the team.

Software Engineer (Physics) - Ideal Profile

• 3+ years experience
• Self starter who enjoys can work autonomously
• Exceptional Python programming skills
• End-to-end experience across the full life cycle right through to production
• 2.1 degree form a Top University in a relevant field
• Understanding of software testing principles and experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Algorithmic development background
• Working knowledge of thermodynamics
• Strong problem solving

Software Engineer (Physics) - Nice to Have

• PhD in building physics or related subject
• Cloud technologies (GCP / AWS / Azure)
• Experience with dynamic simulation software such as IES or EnergyPlus
• Interested in the environment
• Prior experience at a start up
