Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's equipment. You will be responsible for attending customer sites to diagnose and repair breakdowns, perform scheduled maintenance, and carry out thorough examinations (where authorised). Excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll interact with both customers and colleagues.

Benefits:
- Salary £31,000 - £34,000 per annum
- Location: London
- Overtime Pay: Time and a half for overtime, double time on Sundays
- Contracted Hours: 45 hours per week.
- Company Benefits: Company pension after 6-month probation, chargeable work bonus.
- Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
-On-Call Compensation: Weekend call-out rota (after probationary period), one day in every 5 weeks, paid door to door (not included in daily working hours).
- Break Entitlement: Half an hour paid break per day.
- Expected Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Role & Responsibilities:
- Attend customer sites to diagnose faults and complete repairs.
- Perform scheduled maintenance at customer sites.
- Adhere to all site instructions, work permit requirements, and health and safety guidelines.
- Complete detailed job sheets and use bespoke client portals.
- Inform controllers of all chargeable work, providing quotes with part and labour time breakdowns.
- Follow company guidelines for health and safety.
- Maintain a polite and courteous manner with customers and colleagues.
- Assist colleagues with repairs when applicable.
- Ensure company vehicles are presentable and in good working order, including daily van checks.
- Manage stock control on the van, subject to bi-annual audits at the head office.
- Show flexibility in working hours when reasonable.
- Be available for on-call cover (after probationary period).
- Adhere to road safety regulations as a mobile technician.
- Conduct thorough examinations at customer sites where trained to do so.
- Fulfil any other reasonable requirements of the company.

Local Branch Availability: Engineers have drop boxes set up for parts to be sent and returned.
