Role Overview: Electrician

As the Site Electrician Engineer youll join our team maintaining a wide variety of site fixed
equipment and infrastructure.In addition to adhering to our Health & Safety requirements, with continuous commitment to a zeroharm culture, other key responsibilities of the site electrician / engineer will includebecoming fully aware of the operation and normal running of automated block making plant and
equipment, to aid with fault diagnosis and continuous improvement.Breakdown and electrical / mechanical PPM working towards continuous improvement. Working in conjunction with the production staff and regional engineer.Ensuring correct spares are available on site for critical breakdowns.Ensuring the site ESMS is completed and up to date.Operating to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Involved in risk assessments, permit to work and supervision of contractors and ESMS safety checks.
  • Report any health and safety issues in line with the Company Health and Safety policy.
  • Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard free.
  • Behave in line with Dont walk on by at all times.
  • Ensuring electrical / mechanical systems are functioning to allow efficient and safe running of the factory.
  • Check and update site technical diagrams.
  • Work efficiently in order to meet production targets, planning in PPM tasks.
  • Deal with all daily issues professionally and liaise with site supervision and management on a regular basis.
  • To react promptly and effectively to breakdowns by liaising with production, maintenance and OEM assisting where needed.
  • To inspect and ensure that plant electrical routines are regularly adhered to and that the cleanliness of the plant distribution boards, control panels, and electrical working areas are at all times properly and regularly inspected and rectified where required.
  • To carry out other reasonable tasks within the scope of your operation and abilities as and when required.
  • To plan to upgrade or replace out of specification or obsolete parts or equipment.

  • Qualified time served electrician / engineer with a requirement for drive & enthusiasm and is ableto work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Physically fit, capable of all electrical / engineering work on site
