Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Superintendent to oversee construction projects in the retail and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of site work, utilities, and underground construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and timelines
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Ensure safety regulations and protocols are followed on the job site
- Manage project budget and costs, including tracking expenses and approving invoices
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and project managers
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management
Qualifications
- Experience in shell and core construction, with a focus on retail and commercial projects
- Proven track record as a Superintendent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of site work, utilities, and underground construction
- Understanding of construction industry regulations and safety standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Certifications in construction safety and site management (preferred)
