They have a local Massachusetts office with a wide reach across of projects across New England and upstate NY, they have been successfully executing projects in the grocery industry for the last 7 years. The team, consisting of 45 highly skilled employees, is dedicated to executing top-notch gut renovations for grocery stores and warehouses. Their stellar reputation is evidenced by their roster of major clients, with average project lengths of 4-9 months and budgets ranging from $2 million to $4 million.

Job Description

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Lead and supervise construction teams, including subcontractors and site managers. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor progress to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
  • Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all work meets industry standards and project specifications. Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Monitor and address any issues that arise during construction to keep the project on track.
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the budget. Approve expenditures, manage invoices, and handle any financial discrepancies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports. Prepare and present regular project updates to senior management and clients.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, or related field preferred
  • 5-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager (leading own projects)
  • Procore
  • Retail or Food Storage project experience preferred or related project experience
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong literacy of MS Word and Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
