Our Project Superintendents are problem solvers. They're construction leaders who implement creative and efficient solutions and have plenty of jobsite experience and construction knowledge. They bring LEAN practices to projects and follow industry-standard safety procedures. They're a key touchpoint with clients, general contractors, and other jobsite stakeholders making them pivotal to the client experience and success of projects.

They are responsible for delivering, staging, prepping, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials made of Aluminum, Metal, Wood, and other miscellaneous materials. They also possess a wealth of knowledge in construction techniques, tools and principles involved in the installation of precision-made prefabricated interior solutions, while understanding technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Running in a fast-paced environment, the Project Superintendent will command and control project sites overseeing company crews to successfully deliver projects.

Essential Job Functions
  • Experience in reading and interpreting construction documents
  • Follows DIRTT installation guidelines and installs DIRTT solutions
  • Contributes to Creation of Project Schedule
  • Establish productivity plan for labor and service
  • Assists with verifying Jobsite Conditions, Dimensions & Readiness
  • Reviews order files and deliverables prior to installation
  • Provide Installation, Warranty, and Service work
  • Off-Load and Inspect DIRTT Deliveries
  • Maintain High Quality Installation work
  • Inspect for quality after Project Completion
  • Reviews DIRTT Product Care and Maintenance information with key project stakeholders
  • Assist with all post-move in warranty work and add-ons (changes)
  • Final "Face" to the GC, Client, and A&D Firm during execution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to train others
  • Safety-oriented and capable of learning new technology
  • Excellent conflict resolution, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Self-proficient and able to measure and analyze a construction site using precise measuring equipment
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings
  • Carpentry and commercial or healthcare construction experience

Qualifications
  • Previous experience with Prefabricated Installations (DIRTT) is an asset but not required.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Related commercial carpentry experience required. Interior commercial carpentry preferred.
  • Valid and current IA/NE Driver's license
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, trade, and shop practices.
  • Completion of a certified apprentice program or technical school program preferred.
  • Safety certifications such as OSHA 10, Hilti or power tool and laser certifications, First Aid/CPR, Fire Extinguisher Operation Training preferred, but not required. AOI will assist employees to obtain these certifications.
