Job Summary
Environmental (Asbestos) Inspector (BS degree required)
Smith & Wessel Associates provides hazardous building materials and industrial hygiene consulting services throughout New England, primarily in Massachusetts and Connecticut. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a field environmental inspector/technician .

Responsibilities

• Inspections and air monitoring at project sites related to asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous building materials


• Opportunities to conduction inspections, IAQs, exposure monitoring, report writing, interpreting and enforcing regulations and working with clients for motivated individual.


• Upload paper work on a daily basis to our remote server


• Coordinate on-site with abatement contractor and other members of project team


• Report on progress


• Identify and mitigate any potential issues that may arise

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in industrial hygiene, environmental science or related field
  Knowledge of environmental/hazardous building materials field
  Willing to travel to sites on a daily basis in your own reliable vehicle
  Independent worker
  One year experience preferred but will train ideal candidate
  Must be able to work in construction/abatement environments.
