Description
As a Roadway Engineer, PE (4-7yrs.) in the DRMP Roadway Group, you will provide design and production support in the development of construction plans for roadway projects throughout Florida for clients such as FDOT, District 4 and 6, and local municipalities and counties. This role provides an excellent long-term career growth opportunity that can lead to technical expertise and project management roles for major projects and clients throughout Florida.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
* Perform engineering design including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
* Preparing of project documentation including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Package, Design Variations and Exceptions, Estimated Quantity Reports, and Project Meeting minutes.
* Collaborating with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
* Directing and mentoring less-experienced support staff.
* Supporting business development efforts including proposal pursuit efforts.
What you'll need
* Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering.
* Florida Engineer Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.
* Minimum of 4 - 7 years of transportation roadway design experience.
* FDOT and/or Florida's Turnpike Enterprise Experience (desired).
* Proficiency in Bentley's MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
* Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
