Journeyman/Master PlumberJob Summary:
Davis Brothers is investing in a dedicated Plumbing team, and we're looking for a Journeyman/Master Plumber to be the cornerstone of this new initiative!
As the Plumbing Team Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our plumbing services. You will be responsible for performing, supervising, and coordinating all plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Ensuring that all work meets regulatory requirements and industry standards for safety and functionality will be a top priority. In this pivotal position, you will provide technical guidance to teammates, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment. Responsibilities:
  1. Project Oversight:
    • Manage and oversee plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to specifications, codes, and deadlines.
    • Coordinate and lead a team of other construction professionals (contractors, engineers, architects) to ensure plumbing systems integrate seamlessly with overall building plans.
  2. Installation and Maintenance:
    • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures.
    • Conduct inspections and testing of plumbing systems to identify and rectify issues.
  3. Code Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.
    • Keep abreast of changes in plumbing codes and standards to maintain compliance.
  4. Leadership and Training:
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to plumbing staff and customers.
    • Train new employees on proper plumbing techniques, safety protocols, and company procedures.
  5. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and propose effective solutions.
    • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  6. Customer Service:
    • Interact with clients to assess their plumbing needs and explain recommended repairs or installations.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professionalism, reliability, and quality workmanship.
  7. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of plumbing activities, including work orders, materials used, and hours worked.
    • Prepare reports and estimates for plumbing projects and repairs.
  8. Safety and Quality Assurance:
    • Adhere to safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct quality inspections of completed work to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Licensed Master Plumber Preferred: Holds a valid master plumber license issued by relevant authorities.
  • Experience: 10 + years’ experience preferred
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment effectively. Service Titan Experience preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and training.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Work Environment, Requirements, and Hours:
  • Master plumbers will work in small commercial and residential sites.
  • The standard business hours will be 8:00 am-4:30 pm. Must be available for on-call duty outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-call days will be scheduled in advance.
  • Based out of Indiana, PA and be willing to travel throughout Indiana County and surrounding areas.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation.
