Ottobock North America is in search of a Regional Sales Manager, Prosthetics - Western Region. This position will be responsible for overseeing the assigned region in relation to sales goals, revenue budget, strategic planning and market share growth. Directs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual field sales representatives' performance activities. Serve as a resource in the field for sales team to train, coach, and lead sales region. Provides support through in-services and assists in trouble shooting as needed. Promotes teamwork to instill accountability to sales performance goals and responsibility to meet/exceed sales goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will be located in CA (must be located in Western Region to be considered)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees sales performance, assesses progress and development of traditional sales of the assigned region, to meet/exceed targeted sales growth goals.
  • Sets appropriate sales goals to meet/exceed revenue budgets.
  • Creates action plans to overcome shortfalls, maximize results, monitors and controls sales expenses for the region.
  • Participates in annual sales planning process and initiates actions necessary to guarantee that region objectives are met or exceeded throughout the fiscal year.
  • Oversees sales activities through weekly field travel & Salesforce, requests for proposals and contracting within the assigned region.
  • Designs and implements effective region business plans while overseeing territory sales representative plans to maximize revenue results.
  • May be responsible for direct sales to major accounts, manages and ensures timely and appropriate responses to major account customers.
  • Analyzes competitive market activities to determine appropriate tactical plans.
  • Reviews and analyzes financial reports such as monthly Sales and Operating statements to identify potential problem areas, designs and implements action steps to correct deficiencies.
  • Manages regional sales communication to ensure that the region is focused on profitable business, controlling sales expense, aiding in the cash collection process, while creating sales growth throughout the region.
  • Supervises sales representatives in assigned region for professional career development, quality and quantity of individual sales calls productivity and performance to stated goals.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance appraisals, and disciplinary management of sales representatives in assigned region.
Qualifications
  • BA degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in health sciences or business management
  • Minimum 3+ years commission-based sales experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of O&P devices, Ottobock product experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic territory plans.
  • Manage sales functions and prioritize tasks in multiple locations.
  • Experience in organizing and facilitating customer training sessions and workshop seminars.
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to work independently.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Strong PC skills - Salesforce, MSOffice, Outlook
  • Excellent verbal - written - presentation skills
  • Residence in Western United States, CA preferred
  • Overnight travel is required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record


Compensation Data

Annual Salary Range: $130k-$145k, plus competitive commission plan and fleet car provided
