They specialize in delivering advanced technology and support to industries such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing, and are seeking a driven and experienced New Business Development Manager to expand our market presence across the Midwest region.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and target potential clients and markets for metal forming machines in the Midwest region.
    • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to generate new sales opportunities and achieve revenue goals.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Sales and Account Management:
    • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target industries.
    • Present and demonstrate the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of our metal forming machines to prospective clients.
    • Manage the sales process from initial contact through to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Gain a comprehensive understanding of our metal forming machines, including their technical specifications, applications, and advantages.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding product performance and integration.
  • Proposal and Negotiation:
    • Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to client needs.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions of sales contracts to achieve favourable outcomes for both the client and the company.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support throughout the sales cycle.
    • Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure successful installation and operation of our metal forming machines.
  • Reporting and Administration:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress in CRM software.
    • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to management.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the industrial equipment sector, with a focus on metal forming machines or similar technologies.
    • Proven track record of securing new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical knowledge of metal forming processes, machines, and applications.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans effectively.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attributes:
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
    • Willingness to travel within the Midwest region as required for client meetings and industry events.
