Sourced Recruitment Group, on behalf of our client, a well-established construction company based in the Northwest with a current turnover of £15 million and projected growth to £25 million by 2025, is seeking a talented Commercial Manager to join their dynamic team.

About the Client: Our client specializes in residential housebuilding and apartment schemes, delivering high-quality projects that range from traditional homes to modern apartment complexes. With a robust pipeline of projects and ambitious growth plans, they are looking for a skilled Commercial Manager to play a crucial role in their continued success.

Role Overview: As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of various construction projects. Your role will involve guiding the site teams on contractual obligations, managing risk, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Project Director and the Group MD, ensuring all commercial aspects are handled efficiently from project inception through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and manage contractual obligations and liabilities.
• Advise and guide site teams on contract documentation and financial issues.
• Ensure all site procedures and reporting systems are adhered to.
• Manage the procurement of subcontractor and material packages, ensuring best value.
• Produce and update project cash flows, monthly CVRs, and valuations.
• Attend site meetings and resolve commercial, contractual, and construction issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in residential housebuilding or apartment scheme construction.
• Strong knowledge of contract documentation and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proactive approach in protecting the companys commercial interests.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
