Job Description

We are looking for Team Leader to join a brand-new Children's Home located in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Working as a Child Care Worker, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. Duties and Responsibilities

Provide a safe environment for the young people in our care

Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships

Be a good team player to provide a high level of care and achieve positive outcomes

Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education and extracurricular activities

Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork

Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development

Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home

Have resilience, motivation and determination

Can adapt to challenging and changing situations

Be inclusive to all children and young people

Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn

Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins.

Apply for enhanced DBS disclosure and if applicable, overseas criminal records checks

Desirable:

Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people

Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Childrens Homes

Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Persons Workforce or equivalent

Full UK driving license
