Construction Estimator

My client, a well known Main Contractor who specialise in Social Housing, Civils and New Builds, are seeking a professional Estimator to join their growing Estimation Department.

You will need at least 2-3 years experience in a dedicated estimation role for a Main Contractor and want to be in part of a fast paced team. You will be working in a team of 3 Estimators and a Estimating Manager. This role will be focused on Social Housing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop project budgets based on estimates and provide cost information to project managers and clients.
• Assist to prepare and submit competitive bids and tenders for new projects.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible deals.
• Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project costs and timelines.
• Suggest alternative materials or methods that can achieve cost savings.
• Monitor project costs against estimates and budgets, identifying any variances.
• Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, tender submissions, and correspondence with suppliers and subcontractors.
