Associate/ Senior Associate

Our Commercial Lawyers are dedicated to delivering practical advice and possess extensive expertise in advising clients, primarily in the private sector, but also some public sector work. The Commercial team have built a reputation for advising on complex legal matters and thrive on high profile and groundbreaking projects.

The Team

Our work requires us to have an appreciation of the legal issues and the underlying commercial objectives. As a consequence, we have a highly developed understanding of our clients' industry sectors which include retail, food & drink, media, sport, hotels, leisure, healthcare, financial services and more.

The Work

Our work includes the following:



  • drafting and advising on commercial contracts e.g. distribution and agency agreements, and franchise arrangements

  • negotiating commercial contracts

  • providing regulatory advice e.g. consumer contracts

  • support for broader transactions e.g. hive-downs


Our team cover a wide range of advice across commercial contracts and regulatory, we attract high quality national and international clients. Our commercial clients include John Lewis // Virgin // Waitrose // Yeo Valley.
This vacancy would be suitable for Commercial Lawyers who have experience and an interest in commercial contracts.

What you'll need

  • Relevant experience working on non-contentious commercial contracts

  • Be a strong team player, with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively

  • Be self-motivated and willing to learn

  • Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge.

  • Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
