Job Description

Ten Live are seeking a skilled and reliable Dumper Driver on behalf of our client based in Kilbirnie for an immediate start. This will be an ongoing role, lasting into next year.

As a Dumper Driver, you will be responsible for operating dumpers and other heavy machinery to transport materials on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in similar roles, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Operation of Dumpers: Safely operate dumpers to transport materials such as soil, gravel, and waste across construction sites.

Site Preparation: Assist in preparing sites for construction, including clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment.

Material Handling: Load and unload materials from dumpers, ensuring efficient and safe handling.

Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and maintenance on dumpers and report any faults or issues to the supervisor.

Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE and following site-specific safety protocols.

Collaboration: Work closely with ground workers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth site operations.


Requirements

Must have experience with Plot Work e.g. foundations, plot works, finishing and floors

Experience: Proven experience as a Dumper Driver or in a similar role within the construction industry.

Certification: Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for dumper operation.

Skills: Proficient in operating dumpers and other heavy machinery, with a good understanding of their maintenance.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and procedures.

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.

Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.

Driving License: A valid driving license is preferred but not essential.
