Job Description

Technical Administrator – Engineering

Cardiff (On site)

£20 per hour PAYE

12 Month Contract


Role Summary:

Our client is currently searching for a Technical Administrator to join their team in Cardiff. If successful you will work within the Special Process and Repair NPI Engineering team in a technical administrator capacity.

This role will be centred around supporting execution of the sites’ Repair Industrialisation plan. The position is aimed at someone with a technical background who is looking for a development opportunity within the shop Engineering team. To be successful in this role, you will need to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.


Responsibilities:

  • Using a variety of digital tools such as Miro, Smartsheet, Spotfire and Teams to track technical project progress
  • Co-ordinate shop technical reviews of new repairs and procedures
  • Co-ordinating of technical reviews between multiple stakeholders
  • Compilation of technical documentation such as routers, process/technique sheets and other technical instructions.
  • Day-to-day administrative support for the site NPI schedule
  • Seeking improvement to the NPI process through use and development of digital tools

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Technical degree or demonstrated practical experience in a technical discipline
  • Minimum of 12 months relevant experience in an appropriate engineering or technical aviation role; internship/trainee time is applicable.
  • Knowledge of repair and inspection processes carried applicable to the overhaul of Aircraft Engine Components
  • Demonstrated ability in using digital tools


Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to compile concise and accurate engineering documentation.
  • Ability to effectively interpret inspection and repair sections of Engine Shop Manuals and other technical publications.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and co-ordinate several projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence others.
