JOB TITLE: Human Resources Learning and Development Placement

LOCATION: Milton Keynes (hybrid between 1-3 days in the office required per week)

CLOSING DATE: 30th September 2024

SALARY: £22,250, 27 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, loan car scheme, pension and a discretionary bonus

CONTRACT: June 2025 - June 2026

Are you an ambitious and proactive individual with a passion for HR? We have an opportunity for an undergraduate to join our HR team as a Learning and Development undergraduate. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with many different people across the business, thriving in a fast-paced environment. You'll develop essential skills in training coordination, communication while enhancing your expertise in Excel and learning technologies.

This is what your time at Volkswagen Financial Services might look like:

• Managing co-ordination of internal in-person and digital induction courses to all new starters within the business including co-ordination of quarterly updates.
• On-going development and design of the Undergraduate Life-skills programme.
• Co-ordinate annual Learning at Work Week business wide event
• Interacting with external suppliers and training providers to manage various learning platforms.
• Utilising technical abilities to make changes and updates to mandated digital learning materials and platforms.
• Supporting reporting and analysis with a focus on Excel, contributing to data-driven decision-making.

About you:

• Currently pursuing a degree in HR, Psychology, or a Business related
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with confidence, while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders across the organisation.
• Proficiency in Excel and eagerness to expand technical skills in learning technologies and HR systems.
• Intermediate/Strong excel skills, with the ability to analyse data.

Here's what our process looks like:

• Apply and upload your CV, covering letter and answer a few application questions.
• You'll then be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test. This is a short multiple-choice question set to understand how you may approach situations.
• If you pass this stage, you will be invited to complete an online video interview where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself.
• If successful, your final step in the journey is to attend an assessment centre at our Milton Keynes office where you will take part in a group exercise, complete a short interview and deliver a presentation. You'll also meet some of our managers and our current Undergraduates to find out more about a placement year with us.
