React/Java Full Stack Developer

This team focuses on a critical aspect of the project. The catalogue team focuses on customers' orders and products for the process management in a catalogue system. Currently, a new system is being built in Java to replace the old system, which is in Perl and can't support the increasing traffic.

This Full Stack React Developer (SDE 2) will be primarily focused on the front end/UI tasks which are not overly complicated.

Responsibilities include:

- Creating UI components that work and maintainable

- Creation of interfaces that are used to display data

- Relatively domain data being used for a client to call service which pings data

- Not data processing, purely working with React code

- Working with Jest Testing Framework

Essential experience:

- Must have recent and lengthy use of React in commercial engagements (Frequent use of React over the last 8 years+)

- Modern practices of React (New versions / Frameworks)

- Must have basic - good level of Java development experience

- Creating end points in various services

The successful candidate will be infrequently working with the dedicated client platform owner to deliver on the task points and sprints. Added experience in Cloud Services and distributed systems will be beneficial for this person to be successful.

Its not a single service but its 7 different collections of services and a set of resources working on a single stream and each stream has a different requirement of bandwidth vs. the estimates that they have done for time needed. However, this opportunity will be focused on the React elements of Team 3.

This project isn't about creating new APIs; it's primarily about migrating clients to already established strategic endpoints. The challenge lies in migrating from service A to service B. Some services have as few as four, and some have as many as twelve active services that need to be migrated. This person will also need to maintain the code standard and ensure the quality of the software before it's pushed for production release.
