We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Kier Professional Services (KPS) team based in Manchester.

Location: Manchester - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Business Area: Transportation, Kier Professional Services (KPS)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be working within the Kier Professional Services team, supporting them with the delivery of a broad range of Electrical related services . You will also contribute to the delivery of more complex services

What will your day to day activities include?

• Outline engineering design from feasibility, deign briefs, or detailed user requirement specifications.


• Production of detailed specifications to facilitate compliance with client requirements, e.g. Control philosophy, Cable selection & calculations, Cable, Load, & Instrument Schedules, Instrument selection, Cable Block and P&ID Diagrams


• Production of, load analysis, field cabling design and discrimination in line with BS7671, using proprietary software.


• Review and sizing of transformers & generators.


• Preparations of Electrical Design work quotations.

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Electrical Engineer is great for you if:

• You are a technician or incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. EngTech MICE, IEng MICE, etc.)


• You have relevant postgraduate experience


• You have Electrical lighting design experience
