Job Description

Position - Principal Planning Officer

Location - South West England/Remote

Type - Contract (6 months)

My client is looking to add a Principal Planning Officer to their expanding Development Management Team. This is an opportunity to work closely alongside an exceptional team of planning professionals and further your personal planning portfolio.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will consist of taking the lead on complex enforcement cases, supervising a team of junior planning officers, and engaging with stakeholders. This role is predominantly remote but you will be required to attend the office once a month.

Essential skills:

-Strong knowledge of planning legislation and regulations

-5+ years planning experience

-Excellent communication skills

Desirable skills:

-Previous leadership experience

-Excellent problem-solving skills

-Degree in Urban Planning
