Ichiban UK is a leading producer of high quality authentic sushi for the UK. The company is privately owned sushi manufacturer producing own label and branded sushi for the UK market. They have been one of the UK's largest sushi producers for almost two decades specialising in the art of making sushi for leading UK retailers and supermarkets.

Location: Earl Stonham, Stowmarket

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:00.

Salary: £12-£14, depending upon experience

Contract: temporary, up to 4 weeks

Purpose:

The Development Chef works extremely closely with the wider NPD team to support the development and innovation plan at site.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Formulating new and innovative recipes
• Gather information required and confidently present products to internal site teams
• Promote health and safety culture across the site and follow health and safety requirements during kitchen and process development work

Requirements:

• Experience as a Chef or similar role in the food industry.
• Ideally food qualification but must have strong food knowledge, commercial awareness and time management skills

Key Skills:

• Strong cookery skills with flare for innovation
• Communicating at different levels of seniority
• Presentation skills
• Basic computing skills
• Team player but can work independently
