XPO Logistics are looking for an Operations Manager to be based on our Saint-Gobain contract in Ilkeston. Youll be responsible for the smooth running of the transport operation at site, making sure you are consistently delivering our focussed approach to safety, sustainability, service and cost. Key to your role will be supporting and developing our operational team in what is a technically complex delivery solution. Sound good so far?

What youll do on a typical day:

• You willco-ordinate and be responsible for the UK distribution operations for Saint-Gobain PAM.
• Be responsible for adherence to all compliance and legal requirements.
• Ensure effective execution of the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource efficiency across our operation.
• Drive the focus on safety, sustainability, service and cost across the operational team.

What you need to succeed:

• A background in construction sector transportation.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising and developing a team in a complex transport environment.
• Continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and fleet performance whilst minimising costs.
• Hold a Transport Managers CPC qualification.
• Ability to build a team and foster strong customer relationships.
