Job Description

DevOps Engineer – Up to 50k with Bonus and Excellent Benefits – Cardiff (Hybrid)

Joining Ogi is a unique opportunity to work within an innovative Welsh business and one of the fastest-growing companies in Wales.

You may have known us previously as Spectrum Internet and NSUK, but we've rebranded to Ogi - a new name that reflects our commitment to serving Welsh communities. We’ve received a multi-million-pound investment and are currently in the thick of our large-scale full-fibre internet deployment across South Wales!

We’re expanding our DevOps team to drive forward both operational excellence and innovation so on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft 365, PowerApps, and Power Automate, combined with cloud platform experience and an eagerness to further develop their skills.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong IT Ops Support background and a foundation in development who’s keen to grow their expertise in automation and systems integration, while still contributing to operational tasks.

About you…

This role will be instrumental in bringing more processes in-house, balancing both development and operational support while working closely with suppliers and engaging in various tech projects.

You should be familiar with Microsoft 365 and tools like PowerApps and Power Automate, and you’ve dabbled in development work—whether it’s scripting, automation, or integrating systems. Now, you’re looking to deepen your skills in DevOps while still maintaining a foothold in operations.

Our restructured IT team focuses on DevOps, providing flexibility to work across development, testing, support, documentation, and end-user training with a primary focus on helping streamline and automate our systems —covering the creation, testing, deployment, and support of our applications.

In this start-up role, expect to juggle both development and operations tasks, with the balance shifting as needed. We use Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) packages, focusing on configuration, customisation, and API integration. Experience with Java and Microsoft products like Dynamics365, Azure, Power Apps, and DataBricks is a big plus, we also value enthusiasm and quick learning ability over extensive experience.

In terms of background/attributes, we’re looking for:

* Experience working with Microsoft 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft products.

* A solid foundation in development, whether that’s scripting, building automation workflows, or system integration.

* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

* A passion for learning and applying DevOps practices to drive operational improvements.

* Operational experience in systems monitoring, incident resolution, or IT infrastructure management is a plus.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a development foundation who’s ready to take on more DevOps responsibilities, driving automation and integration across a fast-growing company.

What you’ll be doing…

We’re looking for someone who can help us optimise our systems while learning to develop automation pipelines and integrate various applications to improve efficiency. Whether you're diving into development and systems integration on various IT projects, handling UAT and bug fixes for new systems, resolving incidents and issues in IT operations, or collaborating with PMs to grasp and address new requirements, no two days will be the same.

This role offers a great blend of operations as well as development work, ideal for someone looking to expand their DevOps skills while leveraging their expertise in Microsoft platforms. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Creating and enhancing automation workflows using PowerApps, Power Automate, and Azure tools to improve efficiency and streamline operations

* Assisting with operational support, such as system monitoring, incident resolution, and collaborating with teams to resolve technical issues

* Supporting systems integration and working on API-driven projects to link different systems and platforms.

* Enhancing and optimising the use of Microsoft Dynamics365 across the business, including CRM and workflow automation.

* Collaborating with development and operations teams to improve processes, and contributing to ongoing projects involving automation and cloud services.

* Managing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and automated deployments.
