Hardware Deployment Engineer

Hardware Deployment Engineer - Remote UK (Field-based also depending on the need) - 12 months contract - £23 PAYE or £30 Umbrella

Overview:

Reporting to the Lead Global Infrastructure Deployment this position provides on-site and remote technical installation activities of a state of the art, integrated, strategic technology platform that delivers enhanced customer service and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Performs and ensures the on-site and remote technology hardware deployment works are fully operational and meet the needs of the Brands, Operations, Information Security, Technology, Franchisee and Managed Hotels.
• Manage/ schedule logistics, time and activities relating to tasks assigned providing detailed reports and feedback on all Deployment works.
• Assist with creation and development of tools and artefacts for use by the Hardware Deployment Engineer Program and Infrastructure Deployment Team.
• Provide support to the Director - Global Infrastructure Deployment as required, Supporting the department with the overall goal to help Development sell the client IT vision to new hotel owners.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School/ GED
• Minimum Years of Experience: 3 plus years
• Additional Requirements (i.e. % of travel time, etc.):

- An understanding of International IT standards and codes

- Knowledge of Microsoft Server OS, SQL, WIM and configuration processes

- Knowledge of Linux OS (ideally Ubuntu)

- Knowledge of IT Hardware parts and assembly

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications

- Business level English language skills

- Must be in possession of a valid passport

- Ability to travel globally up to 70% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: BA/BA Bachelors Degree and Professional IT related qualification
• Hotel Industry Experience
• Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years including Supervisory experience
• Powershell, Power Automate & BI knowledge
• Additional language skills would be advantageous
