Software Engineering Lead Analyst (Pega) Position Overview: As a Software Engineer in the Provider Value Stream this role will be an Engineer who innovates and delivers on the technology strategic roadmap. The ideal candidate will build components of the Claim Reimbursement platforms with a range of cutting-edge technologies. This role will require passionate and deep technology knowledge with hands-on development experience, as well as an ability to understand the broader Business vision and process so design aligns across the experience. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain complex applications using Pega solutions that adhere to platform best practices. Develop unit tests and provide code coverage to accurately test business logic and functionality. Support effective resolution of production issues by employing business knowledge, analytical abilities, and various tools. Document designs, issues, solutions, tips & tricks as needed. Manage the Pipeline using Jenkins to move the application to higher environments such as System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Release Testing, and Users Training environments. Participate in planning and technical design discussions with other developers, managers, and architects to meet application requirements and performance goals. Actively engages improving software delivery through DevOps and other Agile practices. Manage the application demos to business users and Product Owners regularly in Sprint and PI demos. Participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide daily work status updates to the Scrum master and product owner, following Agile Methodology. Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and user stories grooming with Scrum masters, developers, QA Analysts, and product owners. Stays current in new IT technologies to maintain a high level of subject matter expertise. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with can-do attitude. Required Experience & Education: Bachelor's in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience and technical knowledge. 5-8 years in total related experience. 6 years ofPega experience on PRPC. 2 years of Pega experience on SCE (Smart Claims Engine) good to have. 3 years background in software development in Java and open-source tech stack. 5 years experience in implementing integrations such as REST, SOAP, FileListener (understanding), MQand Error Handling. Proficient in debugging utilizing Tracer (understanding), Pega Diagnostic Cloud, Alerts. Experience writing SQL scripts and understanding of relations database systems. Proficient in application telemetry and monitoring tools like Dynatrace. Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, & GitHub. Experience building applications for scale in Pega. Experience in Microservice Architecture. Experience building in Event Driven Architecture. Experience in Unit Testing automation, Test Driven Development, and use of mocking frameworks. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Security Engineering. Desired Experience: Experience working with Pega on Cloud like openshift or AWS is a plus. Kafka knowledge is a plus. NoSQL Solutions is a plus. Hands on Experience in AWS Cloud Development is a plus. Hands on experience in infrastructure as a code in using Terraform is a plus.
