Key Responsibilities: Resource Planning and Allocation: Develop and maintain a resource management plan, ensuring the effective allocation of IT resources across projects and departments. Collaborate with project managers and department heads to assess resource needs and forecast future requirements. Monitor resource utilization and availability, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize performance. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals across IT platforms, including system administrators, network engineers, developers, and support staff. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and develop professional growth plans for team members. Demonstrates integrity by being widely trusted, being seen as a direct, truthful individual, can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner, keeps confidences, admits mistakes, and doesn't misrepresent him/herself for personal gain Facilitate training and development programs to ensure team members are up to date with the latest technologies and best practices. Technical Oversight: Utilize technical expertise to assess the technical requirements of projects and ensure the right resources are in place to meet these needs. Provide guidance on technical issues, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Implement procedures and processes to resolve impediments. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization. Budget and Vendor Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient use of financial resources. Oversee procurement processes for hardware, software, and services. Maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers, ensuring service level agreements are met. Process Improvement and Governance: Implement and maintain IT governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data by enforcing security best practices across the team. Communication and Reporting: The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication, speaks and writes clearly and understandably for the audience Communicate resource management strategies and status updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership. Prepare and present regular reports to department leaders on resource utilization, project status, and performance metrics. Act as a liaison between IT and other business units, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, etc.) are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT Lead role, Resource manager, Project manager, or a similar role with a strong technical background. Technical Skills: Understanding of IT eco-systems spanning multiple platforms and in-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle. In support of IT teams, ability to learn the high-level architecture and application of various platforms such as mainframe, network middleware, and cloud services. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in team leadership, conflict resolution, and personnel management. Proficiency with resource management tools and software such as for time reporting and performance reviews are a plus. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities Preferred qualifications: Experience in the Airline domain Experience with APIs used in business-critical applications. Experience mentoring associate software developers. Experience in Cloud services (especially AWS) Experience with z/TPF mainframe.
