Our E-Assessment department develops the Hogrefe Test System (HTS), a web platform for comprehensive online psychological assessments. Our e-assessment tech team consists of over 50 people: Software Engineers, Psychologists, Support, Software Testers, UX/UI Designers and Product Managers who develop, learn and progress together. Your tasks Our software is life-changing, helping people find the right careers and positions through aptitude diagnostics, identifying learning difficulties in students at an early stage and supporting people with mental illness on their road to recovery. As a Java Software Engineer (m/f/d) at Hogrefe, you will play an important role in modernizing our system to ensure it remains at the forefront of the industry. You will help shape the vision for the future development of our software, contributing ideas that will be integrated into a strategic roadmap that will be developed and implemented together with the team. Your role will be to set key technical directions to future-proof our psychological testing software. By actively participating in the software development process, you will set high standards through your outstanding work and technical expertise. Your hands-on approach will guide the team to implement best practices, maintain code quality and drive technical implementation. You will foster creativity and collaboration within the team and ensure that our software meets the changing needs of users and industry standards. You will also work with other teams to support the development of team members and participate in discussions on the strategic direction of our projects. Your profile After several successful years of development, our HTS has become the market leader and serves a large number of customers worldwide. We are looking for a Java Software Engineer (m/f/d) to prepare the Hogrefe Test System for the future. This includes developing a technical vision, designing the software architecture and implementing the necessary measures with the team. You should have at least five years of professional experience in Java software development, whereby the type and success of your previous projects are more important to us than the duration. We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join the team by sharing their extensive knowledge and experience. You will use your expertise in the Java ecosystem and modern web technologies to drive significant progress. Your passion for modernizing our successful software will be a crucial amount in our continuous improvement process.
