Job Description

With around 11,000 students, South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences is one of the larger state universities of applied sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia. Around 300 technical and administrative staff work at the university locations in Hagen, Iserlohn, Lüdenscheid, Meschede and Soest. At the University of Applied Sciences South Westphalia, the following position is available at short notice in Department 6 "IT Services" (IT Central Services) at the Hagen or Soest site: IT application and system administration for e-learning (m/f/d) Tasks Technical administration and support of the e-learning platform Moodle and the video platform Participation in the conception and coordination of e-learning operations as well as maintenance and further development of the platforms Analysis of new requirement definitions and verification through implementation on test systems Coordination, documentation and expansion of the operating concept to include new work processes, definitions and functionalities Support and contact person (m/f/d) for the e-learning officers and processing of forwarded technical inquiries Integration of interfaces (e.g. LTI) Requirements Completed university degree (Bachelor's or FH diploma) in computer science; alternatively, completed relevant vocational training with proof of several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned fields of work Sound knowledge and experience in the field of e-learning, in particular the underlying technologies and applications at system level (Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP, HTML, CSS) Good knowledge of German (at least C1 level spoken and written) and good knowledge of English Open-minded, independent working style, initiative Service orientation and enjoyment of teamwork Knowledge of Moodle (administration, roles / rights concept, configuration of Moodle plugins) as well as knowledge of LDAP and JavaScript are an advantage. Terms of contract The full-time employment relationship is based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L) and is permanent. The classification is in pay group 11 TV-L. In principle, the position can also be filled on a part-time basis.
