Theatre Scrub Nurse/ODP - Orthopaedics

Blakelands Hospital, Milton Keynes

Full Time, 37.5 Hours

The role

You’ll have the best facilities – many of our theatres have laminar airflow systems and state of the art integrated theatre technology.

Where you’ll be based

You'll be based at Blakelands Hospital in Milton Keynes, working in a number of specialties, including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, General Surgery and Gastroenterology. We are a small, friendly team who are looking to add enthusiastic and flexible colleagues to it's numbers.

Blakelands Hospital has two theatres and sufficient day case and consulting facilities to support a high through put of patients, so expect a busy environment with plenty of opportunity to grow your experience.

As a day facility, Blakelands is a compelling offer for colleagues seeking an excellent work life balance, with core shifts of 08:00 until 18:00, four days a week and no on call.


What you’ll bring with you

  • NMC/HCPC registration with no restrictions or conditions

  • Surgical scrub experience within a range of specialties

  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) would be desirable, but not essential. Training for this role within the Ramsay Academy is available for the right candidate

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently

  • Flexible and positive attitude

  • A warm, considerate and empathetic character
